Elizabeth Taylor Died (1932 – 2011)

Elizabeth Taylor Died

Elizabeth Taylor died on 23rd of March 2011

Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor died this morning of congestive heart failure at age 79, according to the Associated Press:

“My Mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love,” her son, Michael Wilding, said in a statement.
“We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts.”
Wilding and Taylor’s three other children were with her. She is also survived buy 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

May we take comfort in knowing that, statistically, at least one of her eight husbands has to be waiting for her on the other side along with her dear, dear friend Michael Jackson. Oh, how she used to bring him such beautiful children to play with. Fresh-faced and innocent. “Whatever does he do with them all?” she’d whimsically wonder while lighting up a room of passionate activists, like herself, fighting disease and hunger.

Rest in Peace, Elizabeth. Your legacy lives on.

Michael Jackson's glove more precious than Albert Einstein's brain!

Michael Jackson's glove more precious than Albert Einstein's brain!

It was Michael Jackson magic at full force at the Icons and Idols auction, organized by Julien’s Auctions, in Beverly Hills. A single-studded glove worn by the late King of pop on his “Bad” tour in the late 1980’s sold for $330,000, whereas an X-ray of Albert Einstein’s brain managed to command a meagerly sum of $38,750.
According to Contactmusic,
The items, a fedora which sold for $72,000 and a glove which reached $330,000, were part of the star’s wardrobe for his ‘Bad’ tour in 1980s and were sold through Julien’s Auctions as part of their ‘Icons and Idols’ sale. A jacket signed by the ‘Thriller’ hitmaker - who died from acute Propofol intoxication aged 50 in June 2009 - was bought for $96,000.
While the Michael Jackson collection - featuring over 100 items from the star’s life and career including a custom-made costume for his friend and companion Bubbles the chimp - took centre stage at the auction in Beverly Hills, a number of other items generated huge interest at the sale. Late Beatles legend John Lennon’s gold-braided military jacket - made famous in an iconic 1966 Life magazine photo shoot - reached $240,000, exceeding its estimated word of $150,000 and $200,000. An X-ray of Albert Einstein’s brain went for $38,750, while a pair of Marilyn Monroe’s empty prescription bottles, sold for $18,750.
So now you know why Michael Jackson’s Bad era is considered so holy by his fans and followers. The result of this recent auction only strengthens the fact that Jacko was the greatest entertainer ever to live on this planet. Salute to the King of Pop!

Is Victoria Justice moving in on Selena Gomez’s man?  I guess for that to be true Justin Bieber would actually have to be dating Selena and not just using their relationship as a publicity stunt.  Well, now it looks like Justin is now moving in on Victoria and her Victorious castmates.  When will this Bieber craze die out?

5 handbags that ruled the Oscar Red Carpet

5 handbags that ruled the Oscar Red Carpet

5 handbags that ruled the Oscar Red Carpet
Fashion at the Red Carpet of the 82nd Academy awards was full of bright and pastels hues. Our beautiful and gorgeous celebs looked glamorous and fascinating in awe-inspiring gowns and astonishing handbags. Most of the lovely ladies flashed their love for clutch and we saw some really dazzling ones including structured, hard framed, jeweled, slim and oblong clutches.
Sandra Bullock was looking elite and august in the body-hugging Marchesa gown, she matched her shimmering attire with the Sterling Silver Croc Miniaudiere by Celestina. Trust me girls, the glam doll bagged away all the hearts along with the Oscar with her charming and impressive allure.
Beautiful and elegant, Demi Moore was clad in an Atelier Versace organza gown in peach shade. She ruled the red carpet with a gold leather envelope clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo.
The everlasting beauty of Kate Winslet was accentuated with the Yves Saint-Laurent gown and the icing on the cake was the silver satin clutch by the same designer, Yves Saint-Laurent.
Anna Kendrick, who received her first nomination for the big day wore a Elie Saab gown and matched her pink dress with a Judith Leiber clutch. The faint pink stones of the jeweled clutch made her look like a pretty princess and elevated her panache to the fullest.
Elizabeth Banks paired her grey, Atelier Versace gown with a Salvatore Ferragamosnakeskin and silver crystal clutch and she looked smoking hot.

Top 5 Guys Women Love And Men Are Like “Meh”

Top 5 Guys Women Love And Men Are Like “Meh”

Men don’t hate these guys, they just don’t see the draw. Well, okay, maybe they hate some of them (one in particular who is all sparkly), but mostly they just don’t get it. And that’s okay—they don’t need to get it. We will be just as happy watching their movies and videos all by ourselves…
1. Robert Pattinson.
At the moment he definitely tops the list. The girls are aaaaallllll about him, and the dudes are like “Are you kidding me?!? A sparkly vampire?!?” But the women don’t care—as Edward Cullen, he embodies all the romantic notions women dream about. But even before he played that glittery night creature, we liked him in the Harry Potter movies—hellloooooo Cedric Diggory!!!
2. Mark Ruffalo.
Women tend to love the movie roles he picks, and guys are like “But his face is all smashed!” Maybe so, but there is still something about him that is so attractive, and the guys are like “But his face is all crooked!” Yes, we know, and we find it endearing. On him – not on you. Sorry.
3. Adam Levine.
Known affectionately as the “Man-whore of Hollywood,” Adam is still number one on many a woman’s Freebie List. We know he’s a man-whore, and we don’t care—he is so hot that of course every woman has offered themselves to him. How could they not? If we went to a party, and he was there, we would be like “Look, boyfriend/husband/partner, I’m sorry, but you can’t be mad at me! I didn’t know he was going to be there! What was I supposed to do??”
4. Oalando Bloom.
Yes, he hasn’t been in any good movies for the last ten years, but we will never ever ever get over him as Legolas, so just get used to it. He is on the list to stay.
5. Daniel Radcliffe.
And we thought he was hot before he took off his clothes for that weird British play, so don’t even start with that, perv. We love him as Harry with the glasses and the powers and the wand (whoops!), but we also love him as Dan with the messy hair and the indie rock tastes. We have watched him grow up from cute kid to hottie man and we will remain loyal to him forever GRYFFINDOR RUUUUUULES!!!!! Oh, uh, sorry about that

If Web Browsers Were Celebrities

If Web Browsers Were Celebrities

It’s been a while since we looked at the sky and actually saw real birds. It seems like all winged creatures have been reduced to a blue chubby digital one. Similarly, telling a joke these days consists of sending friends a link to a hilarious YouTube video, and our new concept of “mayor” is even more unstable than in real politics. We are so glued to our screens that without anyone realizing it, web browsers have become our new celebrities. We hate them. We love them. We define ourselves by them. We read about their shenanigans in the press. And mostly, we can’t stop staring at them.” [via Walyou]
